My Scentsy Story
This is my story, a bit long maybe, but worth the read. Especially if you're interested in learning more about why I do this and why I love what I do!
I started this journey just under 6 years ago now, in November of 2015. Looking back now it seems like much longer, in a good way. At the beginning, I was super hesitant because of the cost to join, I wasn't sure I'd do well, and in general I was just scared. I am beyond grateful that I had my amazing hubby who was supportive and convinced me to take a chance. Although I don’t do as well as others I know (you really get what you put in), this really is more of a hobby for me than anything else. I love and admire all the amazing people I have met through this company! I have built amazing lifelong friendships that I absolutely cherish! These people are near and far but regardless of time and distance, we are there for each other!
My initial reason for joining was just for a discount, like many others. I figured I love the products, so why not? So, when you hear or see me discussing Scentsy with others, my love of products and what I do is genuine and NOT an act. I am a firm believer of enjoying what you do, especially when it comes to direct sales! I would not expect others to buy/use products that I cannot stand behind. I always make sure I use products before I recommend them to others, that way I can give my honest opinions on how they work.
Enough about “work” though! So, I am currently a “stay-at-home” mom of 4 beautiful children, which is great! I have 3 girls & one boy. My oldest is home-schooled so it’s very convenient that I can work from home. I enjoy the fact that I’m free to be able to help with any assignments that are within my “knowledge” haha. I’m able to take my kids to appointments, school activities, family gatherings etc. without restrictions on my work schedule. On top of these luxuries, I have not been able to work a “regular” job for a long time due to physical and mental health issues, which are not always easy to manage. Doing this allows me to contribute a bit, financially, to my family so I will not feel so guilty when I wand to buy small things for myself. I am an open book and love being this way!
